Exhibition Design & Identity
For the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts and the City of Sarajevo, I developed the visual identity and exhibition design for Karim Zaimovic — A Glimpse into Space.
The exhibition presented the work of the late Sarajevo writer, comic book artist, journalist and radio host for the first time in his hometown, 28 years after his death. Drawing from his illustrations, notes and fictional worlds, I created a visual language that extended from the identity into the exhibition space, materials and a parallel comic book exhibition.
Karim Zaimovic’s work was full of strange creatures, imagined worlds and fragments of stories. I looked to his own archive.
His drawings, doodles and recurring motifs became the building blocks for a visual language that could move from paper into space.

COLORS WERE A BIG PART OF SHOWCASING HIS LIFE FROM CHILDHOOD TO DEATH
ORIGINAL SKETCHES FROM THE ARTIST, USED AS A PART OF THE VISUAL IDENTITY
WE WORKED ON MAKING COPIES OF ARTISTS ORIGINAL WORK AS AUTHENTIC AS POSSIBLE. THE IDEA WAS TO HAVE A FULL IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE, NOT JUST BY LOOKING, BUT ALSO TO THE TOUCH.

A second world within the exhibition
Alongside the main exhibition, a parallel comic-book exhibition brought together Zaimovic’s work with the work of other comic artists. The same visual identity carried through the space, creating a distinct but connected part of the exhibition.
